Sharing the love

During these final few weeks in Costa Rica, we've been blessed with visits from farflung family members. First, Laura and Jim found their way back down here. We had a blast on the boat and up at the lake. We've been practicing optimum health together, and learning some new tricks. :) Then my Dad made the long trip down from the northeast. He had a real rainforest experience, especially in the jungles surrounding Rio Celeste, where we found various ways to be wet, all day long. It was an adventure! Then, Kimmy, Randy, and Oliver made their way here too. We celebrated Oliver's first birthday with a genuine U.S.-style barbeque, and he loved it. He also experienced a lot of other firsts, as you will see in the photos, below. Ryan and I are starting to turn our attention to the long journey homeward, which will begin in just a couple days. We have a lot of details to attend to first, as we gear up for the trip. We will definitely check in at least one more time before we sail into the internet-free great blue sea. Until then, stay well. Love, J & R

We had a great hike at Rio Celeste
Rio Celeste is invigorating, and so is the rain.

¨Today is my 1st birthday!¨

I had to put this one in, too.

Kimmy and Randy, teaching Oliver how to kite surf. Ha ha. Just kidding.
