¿Over-meditated?

I am aware that I encompass the whole world, and that I am only one grain of sand.

During the past few days, I have remembered the rewards that come from letting my heart guide me. The sola journey I have been on for the past three weeks required a leap of faith, a leap out of my comfort zone. I was aware of the dangers, and received many warnings before and during the trip, but my intuition never signaled alarm, so I followed it. The gifts of this experience are innumerable, and almost undescribable.

I am aware that I am at a crossroads in my life right now. This journey is about exploring my options, and about allowing a vision for our future to emerge out of being intensely present right now. When I say this, I am also aware that we humans are at a crossroads, and are creating our collective vision for our future. The Mayans have succeeded at reminding us of this, even 2000 years after creating their calendar.

Last night, Laura and I enjoyed the privilege of participating in a full-moon ceremony offered by a member of an indigenous group whose homeland lies in the hills above Lake Arenal. My desire to honor the sacred, to acknowledge this journey as a spiritual one, was satiated as I found myself in the presence of a group of people, from very different backgrounds, who connected simply around the ever-present energy of nature, and love. What a blessing it was.

While I sometimes battle the notion that this type of travel is frivolous, or that I might be wasting time and should ¨get to work,¨ I sit here today completely confident that the work I am doing on this journey is the most important work I can do right now; it is spirit work. I am realizing dreams--like making art, connecting with the ancient wisdom of a past civilization, learning Spanish--and at the same time, I sense a vision for the future emerging. I have no idea where this path is leading, but I trust that it is authentic, and that I am exactly where I am supposed to be.

Today´s path leads me back to Ryan, and I am so grateful for that, too. In just a few hours we will be sharing our stories with each other. I am looking forward to hearing where his spirit journey has taken him, and to continuing the journey together.

Thank you for reading today´s indulgences of the spirit. It´s true, I´m a little ¨over-meditated.¨ :)
